Does the U.S. Government Provide Enough Funding to Families In Need of Food?
Many people in the U.S. go hungry every day, from skipping a meal or two, to not eating at all. One in six people in the U.S. live in hunger. Also, one in four children live in hunger. This is a problem that should be faced. The U.S. government has inadequate spending, publicity, and qualifications for food supplement programs. Hunger is an issue that should not go unnoticed. There are many effects of hunger, including malnutrition, aggression, underdevelopment, and loss of concentration. Supermarkets and companies waste 137 million tons of food each year. The U.S. has plenty of resources, we just need to fulfill the potential. The U.S. government should fund more programs, publicize these programs in ads, and revise the standards of these programs. This will help fix the problem of hunger in America.
